Key Responsibilities

As a Lab Technician in our Global Test Lab, you will be instrumental in validating product performance and safety. Your key duties will include:

  • Performing a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, and durability tests to qualify and analyze hand tools and storage products.
  • Identifying, documenting, and analyzing product failures to support engineering teams in design improvements.
  • Utilizing sophisticated Instrumentation and Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems, including various transducers, to collect and interpret test data.
  • Writing clear, concise, and accurate technical reports that summarize test procedures, results, and conclusions.
  • Collaborating closely with Design and Project Engineers to support new product development and existing product analysis.
  • Maintaining the test lab facilities, ensuring all equipment, fixtures, and electronic panels are calibrated and in optimal working condition.

Qualifications

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with practical experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A High School Diploma is required; an Associate’s degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering or a related technology field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in applied instrumentation using transducers (e.g., load cells, torque sensors, accelerometers, strain gauges).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively document and discuss findings.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, PLCs, digital oscilloscopes, or mechanical material testing is a significant advantage.
