Key Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring construction quality and safety. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Conducting accurate and reliable tests on various construction material samples, such as concrete, soil, and steel, in accordance with standard procedures.
- Preparing samples for testing, which includes tasks like cutting, curing, and labeling.
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment to ensure precision.
- Recording all test data meticulously and preparing clear, concise reports for the engineering team.
- A significant portion of this role involves outdoor work, collecting samples directly from construction sites and sometimes performing field tests.
- Adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times, both in the lab and on site.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a solid educational foundation and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have:
- A secondary education level of Form 5 (HKDSE) or above. Graduates with a science or engineering background will be given priority consideration.
- A strong attention to detail, a methodical approach to work, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good physical fitness and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as required.
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Hong Kong driver’s license is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
Important Note: While no prior experience is required for the entry-level Laboratory Technician role, candidates with relevant laboratory or material testing experience will be considered for a Senior Laboratory Technician position.
