Key Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will be the frontline expert ensuring material quality directly at the source. Your key duties will include:
- Conducting on-site sampling and testing of critical construction materials such as concrete, soil, steel, and aggregates, following strict international and company standards.
- Preparing and analyzing material samples in both field and laboratory settings to verify compliance with project specifications.
- Accurately recording all test data, observations, and results in detailed reports for engineers and project managers.
- Calibrating and maintaining field testing equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
- Collaborating closely with site engineers and supervisors to provide timely data that supports construction progress and quality assurance decisions.
Qualifications
We are seeking motivated candidates with a strong practical aptitude. The ideal profile includes:
- Minimum of Form 5 – HKDSE education. Graduates with a background in science, engineering, or a related technical field will be given priority.
- No prior experience is required for the entry-level position; comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates with relevant laboratory or construction materials testing experience may be considered for a Senior Laboratory Technician role.
- Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license is a strong advantage, as the role involves travel between sites. A meticulous attention to detail, a responsible attitude towards safety and quality, and the physical ability to perform outdoor site work are essential.
- A willingness to learn, a team-oriented approach, and an interest in construction and engineering principles.
