What You Will Be Doing
- You will operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as needed.
- You will identify stained or damaged items and determine whether they need repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
- You will inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from washers, dryers, or dry-cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts.
- You will set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the fabrics in each load.
- You will remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
- You will fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
- You will maintain accurate records of items laundered throughout your shift.
- You will follow all company safety and security policies, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to your manager.
- You will complete safety training and certifications as required.
- You will maintain a clean and professional appearance, following uniform and personal grooming standards.
- You will protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- You will develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, supporting common goals.
- You will visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects.
- You will stand, sit, or walk for extended periods throughout your shift.
- You will move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- You will move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as needed.
- You will reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- You will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
What We Are Looking For
- No high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- No related work experience is necessary we are happy to train the right candidate.
- No supervisory experience is needed.
- No specific license or certification is required.
- You are reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in doing quality work.
- You can follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
- You are physically able to meet the demands of the role, including standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and moving through various spaces.
