Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program lighting consoles and moving head lights with precision for various studio and outside broadcast (OB) productions.
- Set up, rig, and manage all lighting equipment and power distribution systems, ensuring safety and technical reliability.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, camera operators, and the technical team to design and execute lighting plans that enhance the visual narrative.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on lighting fixtures, power supplies, and related accessories.
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet tight production deadlines and adapt to last-minute changes.
- Fulfill a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during emergency conditions (e.g., typhoons).
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- A Diploma or higher in Radio, Television, Film, Digital Media, or Technical Arts from a recognized Hong Kong institution, or equivalent.
- Option 1: At least 2 years of direct experience in lighting operations within a television studio or theatre. Option 2: At least 4 years of relevant professional experience without the formal qualification.
- Proficiency in spoken Cantonese and English, with the ability to read and understand production scripts in both languages. (Fluent Cantonese and basic English are required for effective on-set communication).
- Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative production team.
