Key Responsibilities
As a specialist Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the precise operation of sophisticated machinery critical to project success. Your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) equipment, Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) installation machinery, and piling machines in strict accordance with project specifications and technical drawings.
- Ensuring the accurate mixing of soil and cement slurry for ground improvement (DCM) and the precise installation of vertical drains to specified depth and layout (PVD).
- Installing foundation piles accurately using piling machinery as per design requirements.
- Conducting thorough pre-operation checks, performing routine maintenance, and carrying out basic troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Adjusting machine parameters in real-time to maintain the quality, uniformity, and efficiency of all works.
- Maintaining meticulous daily logs of production data, installation progress, material usage, and equipment performance.
- Collaborating closely with site engineers, supervisors, and ground crews to meet strict project deadlines and specifications.
- Enforcing and adhering to all site safety, quality control, and environmental protection regulations without exception.
Qualifications
This is a role for certified professionals. The mandatory requirements are:
- Proven hands-on experience operating DCM, PVD, and/or piling machinery on construction sites.
- Possession of a valid BCA DCM-Piling SEC(K) certification is mandatory.
- Practical knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and ground improvement processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and project specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for performing basic maintenance and operational troubleshooting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to precision, and an unwavering focus on safety compliance.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in demanding outdoor site conditions in all weather.
