Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role where you will be a vital part of our project teams. Your responsibilities will vary based on your specific role but will generally include:
- Performing general construction labouring duties such as site preparation, material handling, cleaning, and supporting overall site operations.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople as a Trade Assistant, which may involve preparing materials, using power tools, and helping to complete specific trade tasks.
- Safely operating various types of site machinery and plant equipment, following all operational and safety procedures.
- Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols, wearing required PPE, and contributing to a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicating effectively with site supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
Qualifications
This role requires practical experience and a commitment to safety. To be considered, you must have:
- A current, valid Construction Induction White Card – this is an absolute essential requirement.
- Demonstrable experience in construction labouring, trade assistance, or operating machinery within a commercial or industrial setting.
- The physical capability to safely perform manual tasks, including regular lifting of items over 15kg.
- A reliable, positive work ethic, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Additional tickets or licences for specific machinery (such as excavators, forklifts, etc.) are a significant advantage and should be highlighted in your application.
