Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the central point of leadership for our evening operations. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our production line moving and our team performing at its best.

Team Leadership And Supervision

Assign daily tasks, balance workloads, and ensure all machines and processes have adequate staffing for a productive shift.
Act as the primary point of contact for all employees on the evening shift, providing clear direction and immediate support.
Coach team members on performance, attendance, and workplace conduct, fostering a positive and productive culture.
Escalate more complex employee relations or performance issues to daytime management as required.

Production And Operational Excellence

Ensure all production targets and schedules are met or exceeded during the evening shift.
Continuously monitor workflow, machine output, and product quality, proactively identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or delays.
Conduct clear and thorough shift handovers with day-shift leadership to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.

Health, Safety And Quality Assurance

Vigilantly enforce all health and safety policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
Conduct regular safety checks and address any unsafe conditions or behaviours immediately.
Ensure all quality standards and detailed work instructions are followed consistently by every team member.
Promptly report any incidents, near misses, or equipment concerns through the proper channels.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable and motivated leader with a solid background in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring the following:

Proven experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is essential.
Prior experience in a team lead, supervisory, or similar leadership role is strongly preferred.
A strong, practical understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Basic computer skills for tasks like time tracking, email, and completing digital shift reports.
