Key Responsibilities
Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance:
- Support the Mesa site’s comprehensive maintenance programs across preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance disciplines, ensuring all assigned industrial and process systems receive the scheduled maintenance attention, condition monitoring, and timely corrective repair needed to maintain optimal operational performance, process safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the chemical manufacturing facility
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication, cleaning, inspection, alignment checks, and component replacement on all assigned mechanical and process systems, following established maintenance protocols and procedures and documenting all activities accurately in the CMMS system to maintain a complete and current equipment maintenance history
- Apply advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify the root cause of equipment failures and system performance degradation across the facility’s industrial piping, mechanical, pump, valve, motor, fan, and instrumentation systems, developing and executing effective corrective repair solutions that restore equipment to optimal working condition with minimal operational disruption
Industrial Piping and Mechanical Systems:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process piping systems including lined piping, PFA piping, and Kynar piping used in chemical process and laboratory operations throughout the Mesa facility, applying journeyman-level piping expertise and a thorough working knowledge of the specific material compatibility, pressure rating, and connection integrity requirements applicable to piping systems in chemical manufacturing environments
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair centrifugal and diaphragm pumps used throughout the facility’s chemical process and laboratory operations, applying a working knowledge of pump operating principles, impeller and diaphragm mechanics, seal systems, and performance troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve pump-related issues efficiently and accurately
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment including pumps, piping assemblies, valves, motors, fans, and associated mechanical components across all production and utility areas of the Mesa facility, ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to the performance and safety standards required for continuous chemical manufacturing operations
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting activities on chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers throughout the facility, applying a working familiarity with heat exchange system function, chiller operating principles, and boiler maintenance requirements to support the facility’s thermal management and process temperature control infrastructure
Basic Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical:
- Perform basic instrumentation, controls, and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks across the facility as directed, applying foundational electrical knowledge to support the maintenance of instrumentation systems, control components, and basic electrical equipment within the scope of the maintenance technician role and applicable safety and electrical work practice requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment schematics, and maintenance procedure documentation accurately to support effective and safe maintenance, repair, and installation work across all assigned systems and equipment throughout the Mesa facility
CMMS and Documentation Management:
