Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing food that meets our high standards for taste, quality, and safety.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes according to established recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage all food preparation tasks, including washing rice, cutting vegetables, and preparing meats with care and efficiency.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all preparation and cooking areas.
- Monitor ingredient quality, check product expiry dates, and assist with basic stock rotation and inventory management.
- Clean kitchen equipment and workstations thoroughly, practicing the “Clean As You Go” method to ensure a tidy and organized environment.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and consistent food quality.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual who shares our commitment to quality.
- This position is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
- At least 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, with a strong interest in Japanese cuisine.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being an excellent team player.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting and adapt to various tasks as required.
