Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate MC-class vehicles, including B-Double and Road Train configurations, to transport timber products.
- Supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring all loads are properly secured and balanced.
- Conduct thorough pre-start, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete basic preventative maintenance.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including work diaries, dockets, and digital app entries.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and fatigue management regulations.
- Maintain excellent standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation, both inside and out.
- Work effectively as part of a small, tight-knit team, often operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Qualifications
To be successful, you will need:
- A current, unrestricted MC Driver’s Licence.
- A minimum of one year of proven experience operating B-Double and/or Road Train combinations.
- A valid WA Fatigue Management Certificate (or the ability to obtain one promptly).
- A current Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical certificate (issued within the last 12 months).
- A clean driving record and an unwavering commitment to safety.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and comply with ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
While not essential, prior experience in log carting or with high centre of gravity loads will be highly regarded.
