Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily workflow for warehouse repair and overhaul activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Process material returns, investigate equipment pricing and availability, and maintain accurate records within material management systems.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in developing team skills and competencies, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Generate reports and analyze metrics to track repair and overhaul performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Help develop, maintain, and adhere to all repair and overhaul processes, work instructions, and safety standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all warehouse activities meet stringent quality and compliance requirements.
- Engage with contractors and subcontractors to address daily operational needs and uphold all occupational health and safety protocols.
- Participate as an active member of either the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) or Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Qualifications
Your Background and Skills:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is a strong asset.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a coordination or specialist role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; knowledge of IFS or Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, stock control, inventory management, and documentation control.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional on-call weekends.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Canadian Secret Security clearance and ITAR clearance.
Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is beneficial, with training provided.
