Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring production targets are met.
- Recommend improvements to equipment and operational performance, contributing to ongoing efficiency gains.
- Plan and balance maintenance workloads to ensure resources are allocated effectively across the factory.
- Develop and manage predictive and preventative maintenance schedules, extending equipment lifespan and reducing unexpected failures.
- Meet agreed maintenance objectives, including cost and budget targets, while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory within agreed parameters, ensuring critical components are available when needed.
- Ensure all maintenance activity aligns with quality standards and safety protocols, documenting work thoroughly.
Qualifications
Candidates must be a qualified electrician with a current practising licence and at least five years of experience in a similar industrial or maintenance role. Strong troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems are essential, along with proficiency in navigating drives and programmable logic controllers for fault finding. You must be able to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics accurately. Mechanical experience is considered a strong advantage, as is the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving are key attributes for success.
