Salt Lake Express is looking for bus drivers in Sugar City, Idaho, and we’ve made it easy to get started even if you don’t have your CDL yet. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving designated routes: You’ll transport passengers along scheduled routes, making sure everyone gets where they need to go safely and on time.
  • Preparing your vehicle: You’ll complete pre-trip inspections, check for any issues, and report required repairs so the bus stays in good condition.
  • Picking up and discharging passengers: You’ll follow your route, stop at designated locations, announce stops clearly, and help passengers as needed.
  • Handling delays and issues: If there’s a delay or something comes up on the road, you’ll communicate with dispatch and call in for support when needed.
  • Completing paperwork: You’ll keep accurate records of your routes, times, and any incidents during your shift.
  • Making minor operator repairs: When small issues come up, you’ll handle what you can to keep things moving.

What We’re Looking For

  • For experienced drivers: Class A or B CDL with passenger and air-brake endorsements, plus at least 3 years of experience preferred.
  • For new drivers: No CDL? No problem. We offer free, paid CDL training to get you qualified.
  • The ability to pass all required background checks and meet DOT requirements.
  • Reliability and punctuality we need drivers who show up when they’re scheduled.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with passengers and dispatch.
  • A safety-first mindset every time you’re behind the wheel.
  • Willingness to work on-call and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to commute to Sugar City, ID 83448 for work. Relocation is preferred but not required if you can get there before starting.

What You’ll Get

  • Pay between $18.00 and $22.00 per hour depending on experience and role.
