Key Responsibilities
You will provide crucial technical support across a range of systems and projects. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting with web server setup and configuration within the VTC network environment.
- Managing the daily maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of our key learning platforms and websites to ensure optimal performance for students and staff.
- Providing programming support for website development, data visualisation, and the integration of various software platforms.
- Offering technical support for the design and implementation of virtual reality (VR) applications for educational use.
- Performing routine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for computer servers and network infrastructure.
- Working independently and as part of a team to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Qualifications
We are looking for a technically proficient candidate with the following qualifications:
- A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Information Technology, Multimedia, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in IT support or development.
- Strong knowledge in at least one of the following specialized areas:
- Game engines and 3D modelling, or
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Internet of Things (IoT), or
- Website development and programming (e.g., HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, .NET, RESTful APIs).
- Practical knowledge of computer server and network operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and Red Hat Linux servers is a significant advantage.
