Key Responsibilities
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding your crew and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. Your core duties will include:
- Leading, supervising, and mentoring a construction team in daily operations and project tasks.
- Planning, programming, and estimating works to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in strict compliance with safety standards, council policies, and relevant regulations.
- Coordinating resources, materials, and plant for efficient project execution.
- Implementing and overseeing Traffic Management Plans (if qualified) to maintain worksite safety.
- Providing clear direction, fostering a positive team culture, and conducting on-site training and coaching.
Qualifications
To be considered for this leadership role, you must possess:
- A current Queensland Class ‘C’ Driver’s Licence.
- A Queensland Construction White Card (or Blue Card – General Safety Induction).
Candidates who also have the following will be highly regarded:
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and leading a team in a construction environment.
- Proven ability to plan, estimate, and program construction projects.
- A Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence.
- Traffic Controller Competence and Implement Traffic Management Plans (ITMP) qualifications.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
