Key Responsibilities
Your role is central to our daily operations and commitment to service. You will be trusted to:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure everything meets stringent safety standards.
- Safely operate and maneuver a commercial truck to transport goods to their destinations according to scheduled timelines.
- Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and restraint to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic or paper logs, including driver duty status, fuel, and mileage.
- Adhere to all federal and provincial transportation laws and regulations, including Hours of Service rules.
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance and perform minor repairs on the road when necessary, reporting major issues promptly.
- Interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and warehouse staff during pick-up and delivery.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while utilizing fuel-efficient driving techniques to support our environmental goals.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable individual who meets the following criteria:
What You Must Bring:
- A valid, clean provincial driver’s licence appropriate for the class of vehicle (e.g., Class 1/AZ).
- A clean commercial driver’s abstract with a proven safety record.
- Current certifications including Air Brake Endorsement (Z) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) training.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience with a similar vehicle type.
- Strong knowledge of highway safety rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
- The physical capability to handle cargo, which may include lifting, bending, and securing freight.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with using GPS and map applications for route planning.

- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet management software.
