Key Responsibilities

As the Technician for our Film/TV operations, you will be the go-to expert for all things technical. Your core responsibilities will ensure our educational and production activities run seamlessly:

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of digital studio equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound recording gear, and post-production software/hardware.
  • Manage the booking system for studios, equipment, and technical resources, ensuring fair access and optimal utilization for classes, student projects, and academy productions.
  • Provide direct technical assistance and basic guidance to students and faculty during classes, workshops, rehearsals, and shoots, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Perform routine checks, basic maintenance, and keep an accurate inventory of all technical equipment, coordinating repairs with external vendors when necessary.
  •  Offer technical support for in-house productions, live-streamed events, and student showcases, ensuring high-quality technical execution.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and technically proficient individual with the following qualifications:

  • A recognized diploma or degree in Information Technology (IT), Electronics, Film/TV Production, or a closely related technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on, relevant experience in operating and maintaining film, television, broadcast, or professional audiovisual equipment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of digital studio workflows, camera systems, audio-visual setups, and related software. Basic IT networking skills are a plus.
  •  Excellent problem-solving abilities, a strong customer-service orientation when assisting students and staff, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
